WebLook up the old AEA Isopole. It was a design that used a 5/8 wave "stringer" with two cones below it for decoupling. The first cone is mounted 5/8 wave below the feed point and the other immediately below it. When AEA went out of business the Isopole design was sold to a Brazilian company and their prices are outrageous.

WebAug 26, 2016 · A 100 ft. tower with an AEA Isopole antenna on top of it fed with RG-8X is a waste of money. I wouldn't even run a Diamond and LMR400. Personally, I would want to get a commercial quality antenna for the band I'm interested in, and at least 1/2" LDF hardline. 7/8" for UHF. Professionally done, that should be trouble-free for quite a while.
